Position: Marketing and Sales Intern
As a Marketing and Sales Intern at Shangri-la Hotel Abu Dhabi, I actively contributed to the hotel's marketing and sales initiatives over a six-month period. During the first four months, I immersed myself in the dynamic realm of Marketing and Communication, where I gained hands-on experience in crafting compelling marketing campaigns, drafting engaging content for various platforms, and assisting in the execution of promotional events.
In the Marketing and Communication department, my responsibilities included:
- Assisting in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and attract potential customers.
- Creating content for social media platforms, newsletters, and promotional materials to engage with the target audience effectively.
- Conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities for the hotel's marketing efforts.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency across all communication channels.
During the final two months of my internship, I transitioned to the Sales department, where I focused on refining my skills in sales techniques, customer relationship management, and revenue generation strategies. In the Sales division, I actively participated in:
- Assisting the sales team in prospecting new clients and maintaining relationships with existing clients to drive revenue growth.
- Conducting market analysis and identifying potential sales opportunities in the hospitality industry.
- Participating in sales meetings and presentations to showcase the hotel's offerings and negotiate contracts with clients.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless execution of sales agreements and deliver exceptional customer service.
Overall, my internship experience at Shangri-la Hotel Abu Dhabi provided me with invaluable insights into the dynamic fields of marketing, communication, and sales within the hospitality industry.
