- Responsible for the efficient operation of stack and transfer points;
- Monitor and operate the Automated Rail Mounted Gantry cranes (ARMG) via the Remote Control Stations (RCS);
- Take control of the ARMG so that the pick up and set down to and from the ground position is performed safely and quickly and without any interference with the Straddle Carriers;
- Take control of ARMG crane when the automatic job cannot be completed;
- Respond to and resolves exceptions at the Transfer Points as observed and when reported by Straddle Carrier operators;
- Contact the SHC Operator in case of exceptions at the Transfer Points;
- Upon request of the Dispatcher will execute requested activities such as positioning the ARMG for inspection, maintenance, calibration, etc.;
- Monitor ARMG´s and if necessary contact Dispatcher in case of grave or repeating crane errors;
- Participate in Control Room shift handovers and safety talks;
- At beginning of each shift check the equipment (ARMG´s and camera´s) plus the correct functioning of the RCS;
- Execute work as trained per Work Instructions and within given KPI parameters;
- Report near misses.
