Abdulrahman Baobaid

As a Junior Analyst at the First Student Investment Fund (FSIF), the UAE's first Abu Dhabi-wide simulated student investment fund, I conduct financial analysis and valuation of companies, research market trends, and analyze financial statements to identify investment opportunities. I collaborate with a team to prepare and present investment recommendations, gaining hands-on experience in financial modeling, portfolio management, and risk assessment. This role has strengthened my analytical, teamwork, and presentation skills while deepening my understanding of equity research and investment strategies.

As the Design and Media Manager for the UAE Majlis, I played a key role in organizing and promoting Emirati cultural events. I managed visual content creation, branding, and media strategies to showcase our heritage effectively. This role enhanced my creativity, technical skills, and ability to communicate cultural values through design, while fostering a strong sense of pride and connection to my community.

My volunteering trip to Kenya with Camps International was a transformative experience. I contributed to impactful community projects, including painting a school, vaccinating goats, and engaging with local students. I also participated in mountain climbing and embraced cultural exchanges that deepened my understanding of global issues. This trip enhanced my teamwork, adaptability, and appreciation for service, leaving me with unforgettable memories and a commitment to making a difference.

Among all the UAE students, I was honored to be accepted into the NYU Summer Academy through the HH Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Scholarship. During the program, I developed my personal statement, gained leadership and public speaking skills, and received an introduction to coding. I was also selected to deliver a speech at the final celebration in front of 150 parents and students, a moment that highlighted my growth and confidence.

Rize Honors is a prestigious program recognizing exceptional students for their academic achievements, leadership, and community involvement. Through this program, I honed my leadership and teamwork skills, engaged in meaningful community projects, and deepened my understanding of service and responsibility. It provided me with valuable experiences that enhanced my confidence, critical thinking, and ability to create a positive impact.

The Injaz program provided an incredible platform for innovation and teamwork. As part of the program, we developed a code for a smart home system and brainstormed creative ideas to enhance its functionality. This experience honed my problem-solving, coding, and collaboration skills, while encouraging innovation and practical application of technology in everyday life.
