Scope of Work;-The project encompasses a vast area of civil engineering Miscellaneous works, where my company serving as a Project Management Consultant (PMC). My company undertake multiple responsibilities, including design, cost estimation, and site supervision.

Project - 1 Supply, Installation, Testing & Commission of GRE Water Transmission Pipelines and Associated Works at Various Locations in the Emirates of Dubai.

Scope of Work : The work comprises, the supply, installation, testing & commissioning of GRE water transmission to protect/divert existing services and associated work which included Bulk excavation, interconnection with new and existing pipelines.

Key Responsibilities: As the Project Commercial Manager, I was responsible for overseeing the project's commercial and contractual matters. This included, but was not limited to,

• Preparing cost proposals with alternative options (Value Engineering) to align with the employer's budget constraints.
• Develop and manage project budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor project costs and identify cost variances.
• Manage claims and variations to contract.

Scope of Work : The project involved the construction of the New Engineering Science Buildings (ESB1 & ESB 2 and Renovation of exiting labs buildings)

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.
• Review monthly valuation for the Engineer/Client Submission and liaise with site engineers to ensure prompt submittal and completeness of monthly payment applications.
• Administrate project change orders/variations following engineering and construction change notifications.
• Identified subcontract’s works scope, Drawings, specifications, attendances, Securities, Warranties pre-qualification, and special requirements.
• Receiving and reviewing submittals, Sub-Contract Agreements, Addendum, BOQ, and approving subcontractor’s payments certificates.
• Assist the head of the Contract department in preparation, submission, review, negotiation, and claim settlements with the Client, and the Engineer Evaluates and negotiates for the final account’s settlements.

Scope of Work : That project consisted of works mainly the construction of Main Plaza buildings, Services Buildings water bodies, animal holding & cages, Safety fencing, Animal Viewing, Tram Stop Shelters, earthworks, Infrastructure & and undergrad utilities, walkways, Soft & Hard landscaping, Pump and Filtration, sculptures, water tanks & pumps and wet and dry Moats.

Key Responsibilities:

Subcontract Management:

• Drafting and finalizing subcontract agreements, ensuring alignment with the main contract with the owner.
• Manage the tender process for subcontractors, evaluating bids and qualifications.
• Facilitate clear communication between the Main Contractor and subcontractors.
• Manage and distribute project information, drawings, and specifications to subcontractors.
• Organize and attend subcontractor meetings to discuss progress, address issues, and ensure work aligns with the overall project schedule
• Evaluate the impact of changes on cost, schedule, and quality, and prepare change orders for approval by the project team and owner.

Variation Order Administration:

• Identify and document variations to the original project scope initiated by either the client or contractor.
• Review and analyze variations for their impact on cost, schedule, quality, and contractual obligations.
• Prepare and submit variation orders for formal approval by the client, architect, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain a comprehensive variation order log, ensuring accurate records of all changes and approvals.

• Budgeting: Developing budgets for such works and ensuring they align with available resources and project requirements. Procurement: Sourcing materials and services necessary for the works, considering factors like quality, cost, and availability.
• Contract Administration: Managing contracts related to incidental, emergency, and maintenance works, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and specifications.
• Cost Control: Monitoring and controlling costs throughout the execution of these works to prevent budget overruns.
• Documentation: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of all activities, expenditures, and changes related to incidental, emergency, and maintenance works.
• Quality Assurance: Ensuring that works meet quality standards and specifications, addressing any deficiencies promptly.

• Prepare quantity take offs for completed work based on approved variations and contract documents.
• Prepare Payment Application for Engineer submission.
• Measuring completed work to determine the amount of payment due to subcontractors.
