Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinates between airside and landside operations to optimize the deployment of staffing resource that is most cost efficient and delivers full dispatch to aircraft on time.
• Supports Operations Manager in establishing current and future resource requirement by evaluating operational improvements or risk mitigation as and when required.
• Duty Officer assumes role of ‘person in charge’ for airside and landside operations when Operations Manager is not on site
• Personally interacts with senior cabin crew and VIP catering management to help provide seamless and timely service delivery.
• Responsible for all safety audits and inspections, and acts as standard bearer on the shift in regards safety management.
• Is accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of service delivery for all flights during the shift by monitoring supervisory activities, maintaining the provided KPI’s relating to staff performance.
• Accountable for the accuracy of the inventory counts across the shift.
• Communicating throughout the shift with the kitchen team, the replenishment team and ware wash to ensure a smooth and timely flow of materials and equipment to the flight prep function.
• Personal management of all VIP requirements on the shift, from procurement, liaising with the kitchen and sourcing the required goods and equipment, and communication with the client throughout.
• Responsible for all daily tool box talks, and capturing all relevant concerns and comments from staff during these processes.
• Responsible for preparing the duty roster and allocating the manpower within the Operations Department.

• Training, supervising and motivating permanent and temporary staff.
• Ensuring that health and safety regulations are strictly observed, recorded and archived.
• Organizing staff roster.

• Duty Officer –Second in command who is solely responsible for smooth functioning of daily operational activities of the department.
• Supervising and Motivating a team of Duty Officers and Duty Supervisors with respect to safety, cost, training, quality and service.
• Assisting the department Manager with the development and implementation of new procedures.
• Maintaining regular liaison with Administration, Production, Ware wash, and equipment’s & Stores for smooth operations.
• Responsible for accountability for all Flight during the shift by monitoring Supervisory activities, maintaining the provided KPIs related to staff performance.
• Coordinating all activities concerning Tray Setting, packing and meal packing, loading the various customer airlines, Transportation, Airside & Landside Logistics, Communication, Ramp Safety and Security.
• Responsibilities including working closely with Amiri and additional Charter Flights ensure to cater the VIP Flights as per the requested order.
• Responsible for ensuring all Airline at the Airport are provided with in-Flight catering as per laid down procedures and specification.

• To provide an efficient and exceptional standard of service with regards to preset and assembling of meals for flight.
• Independently handle a shift and provide solutions to solve issues.
• To coordinate with internal (Dispatch, Production, Ware wash & Stores) & external (QR & Non QR)
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of essential equipments & products for daily operations.
• Responsible for identifying and imparting training developments within department.
• Coordination with QA on establishing procedures and policies related to food safety.
• Responsible for proper documentation of CCP & other important records as per HACCP norms.
• Conduct appraisals periodically for assessing staff performance.
• Imparting training to junior staff in the job to perfection, briefing them on various Galley Loading Plans of different types of Aircraft, changes in flight schedules and menus, imparting knowledge on special meal request and medical meal by passengers.

• Responsible for proper preset of airline food products in designated area – FC / BC / EY as per airline specified standards.
• To assist Duty supervisor in day to day activities of Assembly section.
• Proper implementation of procedures and process as per HACCP & airline standards.
• Verify all items preset as per flight schedule and requirements.
• Assist in briefing, Training subordinates in day to day activities.
• Provide updated menu grid information, and complete all assigned reports.
• Maintain regular Correspondence with the internal customers – Stores, production, Ware wash & Operations.
