Ahmed Labib is an Associate Structural Engineer with 13 years of experience in structural analysis design. He has good experience in structural analysis, design, delivery and coordination for a good number of projects including high rise, mid-rise, low rise buildings and Infra-structure projects including dynamic and seismic analysis. Many of these projects are designed based on different codes like ACI 318, UBC, ASCE,EC etc., and these projects are modeled based on BIM system (Revit). He worked in a multinational company which is WS ATKINS Dubai headquarter of middle east as a Structural Engineer where he gained technical experience through participating in structural design of iconic towers and projects in UAE and in SSH Design, Dubai office where he gained more experience in concept design, involved in the projects as senior engineer and insures a proper project delivery meeting all the requirements, standards and quality and managing and estimating resources to ensure proper project delivery. He is now working in JACOBS as Associate Structural Engineer.

  • Project: Super Block 04 - Madinah. This project is in Madinah (KSA), and it is part of the overall development of the area surrounding al Masjid An Nabawi. It is mainly hotels and hotel apartments serving visitors. The project consists of 19 buildings supported on a common basement where each cluster is being run by different operator. It is currently in schematic design stage.
  • Project: Dubai Metro (Blue line). This project is part of Dubai’s future extension plan for Dubai Metro lines. The main scope on this project was to develop concept and schematic design of the elevated and underground stations.
  • Project: Red Sea Airport. This project is based, KSA as part of the overall Red Sea development. It is currently in construction stage, where my rule is a design guardian by replying to RFIs, solving technical issues, analysis and verification of the proposed solutions, and following up with the construction sequence on site.
  • Project: Islamic Civilization Village. This project is an edutainment park based in Madinah, KSA. It is currently submitted for Detailed Design stage. The main challenge in the project is the coordinating between Structural / Edutainment requirements and Structural / Façade requirements.

  • Project: DGDA Address Hotel and Apartments. This project is based in Riyadh, KSA. The main challenge in the project is the coordination between superstructure and basement/parking spaces and with the Utility tunnels passing underneath the development.
  • Project: DGDA Experience Center. A two story structure based in Riyadh, KSA. The main vertical supporting system is steel metal deck supported on steel beams and columns however the lateral stability system is provided by concrete core walls enclosing stairs and lifts.
  • Project: Lagoons Male Atoll - Maldives. The project is located in Maldives and developed by DAMAC, it mainly consists of 3 main islands providing different types if Villas, SPA and other BOH buildings.
  • Project: VIDA Hotel and Branded Apartments, Area 60 000 m2, Client: Emaar. My task was to lead the project, coordinate with all disciplines and provide concept, schematic and detailed design of the whole project, analysis and design buildings and foundations. Buildings gravity system is PT slab, RC slab, columns, shear walls and Piles foundation. Lateral stability system was shear walls/core walls and coupling beams.
  • Project: Juman 2, Area 19 208 m2, Client: Al Mouj. My task was to lead the project, coordinate with all disciplines and provide concept, schematic and detailed design of the whole project, analysis and design buildings and foundations. The main challenge in this project was providing a proper foundation system without applying additional pressure on the existing quay wall. Buildings gravity system is PT slab, RC slab, columns, Piles foundation. Lateral stability system was shear walls/core walls.
  • Project: Mina Sultan Qaboos, G+12, Client: DAMAC. My task was to provide full concept design of the whole project within a very tight time frame and handling it to another team where they can continue schematic and concept design. Buildings gravity system is PT slab, columns. Lateral stability system was shear walls/core walls.
  • Project: Shatti Al Qurum (Mandarin Oriental Hotel&BA), Area 102 000 m2, Client: Eagle Hills. My task was to lead the project, coordinate with all disciplines and provide concept, schematic and detailed design of the whole project, analysis and design buildings and foundations. Buildings gravity system is PT slab, RC slab, columns, Raft foundation and piles. Lateral stability system was shear walls/core walls.
  • Project: Dubai Water Canal, Area 424,440 m2, Client: MEERAS Holding. My task was to develop concept analysis and study for different types of buildings and Participating in the Schematic and detailed design stages which were developed in both Dubai office and South Africa office.
  • Project: Marassi, Area 10,835 m2, Client: Eagle Hills. My task was to provide concept study and design, preparing reports and estimates and coordination with different departments achieving the client’s requirements, provide schematic design for the project including superstructure and substructure elements with quality in a challenging very tight time.
  • Project: Aljahra Complex, Area 178,900 m2, Client: Kuwaiti Ministry of Education. My task was to provide concept study, analysis and design for Aljahra University which consisted of four main colleges and shared facilities, preparing reports and coordinating with different departments, provided schematic design for the project including superstructure and substructure elements.

My task was to analysis and design buildings and foundations in Phase 2, Phase 3 and phase 4 during Schematic and Detailed Design Stage with Atkins Dubai and Bangalore. Buildings gravity system is HC slab, RC beams, columns, Raft foundation and piles. Lateral stability system was shear walls.
  • Project: Five Hotel Towers-JVC, Area 150,000 m2, Client: UNLIMITED 1 LIMTED. My task was to design RC slabs and Beams in the ultimate and serviceability limit stages. The Tower gravity system was PT slabs, central core wall, columns, Raft foundation and piles. Lateral stability system was central Core Wall, Columns and Outriggers.
  • Project: Dubai Creek Harbor, Area 118,000 m2, Client: Emaar. My task was to participate in the Schematic design stage of the towers and Podium, Detailed design of RC slabs, Columns, walls, Beams Raft and Piles. The Tower gravity system was PT slabs, central core wall, columns, Raft foundation and piles. Lateral stability system was Bearing wall system.
  • Project: Double Tree by Hilton RAK, Area 2500 m2. My task was to participate in the Schematic design of the Buildings, Detailed design of RC slabs, Columns, walls, Beams Raft and Piles. The Buildings gravity system was RC slabs, walls, columns, Raft foundation and piles. Lateral stability system was Bearing wall system.
  • Project: Habtoor Polo Club, Area 75,000 m2, Client: Al-Habtoor. My task was to participate in the Schematic design stage of the Buildings, Detailed design of RC slabs, Columns, walls, Beams and Raft.
