- Designate prognosis and the potential for functional improvement, if possible; should include best professional judgment about the patient's / family expectations for medical and functional stability, time frame for stability or not, and the potential complications
- Being informed of and reviewing results of all HAAD surveys related to medical service deficiencies; involvement in resolving problems
- Observing and reporting symptoms, reaction to treatments, drugs, and changes in the patient's physical or emotional condition
- Initiating preventative and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate for the patient's care and safety
- Effecting changes in environment to ensure patient safety and security
- Coordinate and evaluate the medical care within the facility by reviewing and evaluating aspects of care and services, and helping the facility identify and address health care issues related to the care and quality of life of the patients
