- Responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of the Research core equipments and general lab equipments installed in the Medical Research center and the Medical campus.
- Develops working methods for equipment maintenance defines applicable procedures and ensures that they are implemented
- Preparing technical evaluation from quotations received from suppliers and service provider
- Communicate, liaise and co-ordinate with own team and other Departments teams to ensure maintenance needs are met.
- Inspect the agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies
- Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and dealing with the consequences
- By supporting Lab safety software, ensuring that laboratories meet government regulations and health, safety & environmental standards
- Weekly reporting of in-house maintenance work and progress of Annual Maintenance Contract
- Closely coordinating with AMC vendors for their inspection schedules, equipment performance and also liaising with vendors and purchasing department on AMC renewals
- Respond to the service calls received from the lab instructor to repair or adjust the equipment or any other technical support needed.
- Prepare documentation and maintain records pertaining to all repairs, replacement parts, calibrations and modifications of medical equipment.
- Communicating and follow up with principal companies/suppliers for organizing pre-installation requirements and after sales service support.
- Spare parts inventory management for Routine service/Annual Maintenance contracts.
- Mainly assigned responsible for maintaining and provide the technical support for all the lab equipment’s and medical equipment’s in the Medical Campuses necessary including (college of Dentistry, college of Pharmacy, college of Medicine, college of health science, medical research center and the clinical training center).
- Participate in the evaluation of the related biomedical equipment tenders and oversee the required service and repair process under contract. As well as keep records of standard maintenance plans, equipment history, etc. in liaison with maintenance contractors and service providers.
- Overseeing and handling 13 AMC’s of a research equipments for different brands such as Thermo, Bruker, Waters etc.
