• Carry out a safety induction training for the Employer’s, Consultant’s, Contractor’s representative before work commencement at site
• Direct HSE officers on site to carry out duties.
• Deliver as directed HSE training to all levels of employees and workers and subcontractors.
• Assist HSE manager and operations teams in decision making process over safe work methodologies and selection of plant and equipment.
• Conduct Safety Toolbox talk at a regular interval (weekly) on various safety requirements and an additional toolbox talk specifically before commencing new activity or specialized jobs.
• Promote HSE awareness to employees and workers for prevention of injury, ill health, and environmental impacts.
• Submit data required for weekly, monthly, and annual HSE reports.
• Manage records and documentation pertaining to legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Carry out Emergency evacuation drill periodically with an advance notification to the Engineer and Employer for their involvement. Evacuation drill report to be submitted to the Engineer.
• Ensure all precautionary measures are made before commencing works at confined areas.
• Complete daily site inspections of areas, work activities and plant and equipment as directed recording findings and corrective and preventative actions.
• Provide guidance and assistance to operations teams in providing the defined requirements for safe operations.
• Ensure all works are carried out with due regard for the environment, surrounding communities and protecting the health and wellbeing of all persons on the project.
• Assist in ensuring legal and contractual compliance for all operations.
• Stop work where there is imminent danger or risk of serious injury.
• Close out assigned corrective and preventative actions in a timely and satisfactory manner.
