  • Selected as Senior HSE Engineer for ADNOC historic Unconventional, Biogenic and Frac Project, supporting one of the UAE’s first large-scale initiatives in unconventional energy development. Contributed to establishing and enforcing robust HSE governance frameworks for high-risk, non-conventional drilling and well operations, ensuring full compliance with ADNOC HSE Codes of Practice, critical risk management, and regulatory requirements. Played a key role in risk identification, SIMOPS control, contractor HSE integration, and emergency preparedness, supporting safe execution of complex operations while promoting a zero-incident safety culture across multidisciplinary teams.


  • Served as Safety Officer for the Large-Scale Steam Flood Pilot Project (LSP), a joint initiative between Chevron Texaco and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC). Provided HSE support for high-risk drilling and steam injection operations, coordinating closely with Joint Operations (JO) HSE teams, Kuwait Drilling Company (KDC) HSE, and rig personnel. Key Roles And Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee HSE management for drilling and well operations (onshore/offshore), ensuring full compliance with ADNOC HSE Codes of Practice, UAE regulations, and international standards.
  • Act as the HSE focal point between drilling engineering, rig operations, contractors, and client HSE departments.
  • Provide HSE leadership to rig-based HSE teams, drilling supervisors, and contractors.
  • Lead Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA / JSA) for all drilling activities, including spudding, drilling, tripping, casing, cementing, and well testing.
  • Review and approve drilling HSE plans, method statements, and risk registers.
  • Ensure effective implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) systems and isolation procedures (LOTO).
  • Monitor compliance with SIMOPS, confined space, lifting operations, and working at height requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to well control standards and critical risk controls during drilling operations.
  • Verify readiness and compliance of BOP systems, well control equipment, and emergency shutdown systems.
