• Worked in collaboration with physicians and nurses to create effective treatment programs for patients
• Administers different respiratory therapy modalities such as oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, incentive spirometry
• Collects and extract arterial blood gases
• Determines/Interprets blood gases
• Inserts and Maintain arterial lines
• Performs ETT, tracheostomy and oropharyngeal suction
• Performs/Assists in intubation and extubation
• Assists in Bronchoscopy
• Assists in tracheotomy procedures
• Performs internal and external transport with the transport team
• Assist in ventilation and maintaining patent airway during cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Operates BIPAP, CPAP and HIGH FLOW NASAL CANNULA machines
• Operates mechanical ventilators and management of critically ill patients on continuous mechanical ventilation (Invasive, Non-Invasive & High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation- HFOV)
• Conducts monitoring on patients with mechanical ventilation support
• Maintains and troubleshoots pulmonary gadgets and equipment’s
• Participates as a lecturer about respiratory care to trainees and other health care personnel
• Demonstrates respiratory care procedures to trainees and other health care personnel
• Monitors and assists staff in professional and departmental growth and advancement
• Orient, train, and supervise new staff, and respiratory therapy intern.
• Participates in implementing planned changes and activities to improve Respiratory Care Services.
• Responsible in maintaining the smooth functioning of Respiratory Care Services
• Assures adequate quantities of supplies by ordering supplies and equipment
• Serves as preceptors for new staff and clinical site students, assuring completion of all orientation and skills checklist
• Serves as Link RT to other departments such as Quality and Infection Control Dept
• Observes established policies and procedures including confidentiality, safety, and infection control.
