· Prepare comprehensive consultant briefs for structural investigations and designs

· Manage in-house design teams to achieve design objectives within budget expectations

· Undertake technical investigations and prepare reports on range of structural projects.

· Contribute to the long-term planning and strategies relating to engineering projects and programs within the Structural Engineering Department

· Liaise with Technical Manager, Project Managers, architects, and engineers to ensure projects meet the design brief

· Perform Structural Analysis for various Building Envelope Systems comprised of Aluminum, Glass, Steel, Stainless Steel, Terracotta, Glass Reinforced Concrete, etc.

· Review Structural Calculation Reports, Shop Drawings, Material Submittals, & Method of Statements.

· Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment for simulation purposes and to prepare Structural Calculation Reports.

· Undertake liaison and coordination with other technical experts, including architects, and other engineers to agree on safe designs and their fit with the aesthetic and concept of the construction.

· Evaluate and Research new materials and systems to meet specific project criteria

· Prepare Project Specifications, Method of Statements and Material Submittals in compliance with International Standards.

· Perform structural analysis and design for custom curtain wall including load determination, frame analysis, connections, and anchorages.

· Review structural calculations and material data sheets for compliance with building codes, project specifications and company standards.

· Travel to project site as required to observe, evaluate and inspect construction and provide engineering support.

· Participate in training and seminars to develop technical knowledge in structural engineering and curtain wall.

· Work across disciplines with drafters, designers, modelers, shop and field personnel, and project managers to accomplish project tasks.
