- Security Management: Ensuring that the building's inhabitants, including employees and guests, are safe and secure by overseeing all security measures. This includes monitoring security equipment, such as surveillance cameras, access control systems, alarm systems and Security personnel. ensuring that an organization's property is well protected. identifying security issues and take appropriate action to prevent security incidents.
- Security Procedures: Providing and developing the security measures, procedures and protocols by studying the full security situation and analyzing the daily security activities.
- Security Authorities: Acting as a focal point with the security authorities (National Guards Command, Police, NCEMA etc...)
- Leader: Managing and Leading full team of security surveillance officers and building technicians and third party companies (Security Guards and maintenance vendors)
- Health and Safety Management: Supervising and coordinating the implementation of safety policies and regulations for the public and employees while ensuring the proper maintenance of all building's safety mechanisms according to HSE policy.
- Facility Maintenance: Ensuring that the building and its systems can function correctly and maintaining and organizing the property, dealing with any property-related problems, and scheduling maintenance and repairs by connecting with vendors or maintenance team.
- Staff Management: Overseeing the work of security personnel including shift security officers/assistant, as well as support staff such as receptionists, drivers, housekeeping officers and maintenance personnel. They ensure that every member of their team is performing their tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Reporting and Documentation: Ensuring that the necessary documentation for building-related activities is in order and readily available. This includes maintenance records and ensuring adherence to regulatory rules.
- Project Supervision: Supervise certain projects contractors may want to carry out, confirming that contractors are meeting the set deadlines for completion of contracts.
- Communication: Facilitating suitable communication channels between the employees, executives, security staff, and other stakeholders for any matter that affects the building's operations or objectives and obtaining building permits.
- Developing strategic plans: Working with senior management to develop strategic plans to improve security, prevent losses and optimize security systems.
- Investigations: Investigates events such as theft, property damage, or security incidents to identify the root cause of the problem and take corrective action.
- Risk management: Analyses risks to the organization, identify problems and takes measure to reduce and manage risks.
- Emergency and crisis management: Develop, implement and review security, emergency and evacuation procedures to handle crisis situations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensures compliance with laws, regulations and guidelines related to facility management, safety and security, and creates and updates policies to handle compliance concerns when needed.
