As a Safety Officer My responsibilities are as under ,

• Monitoring all bridge construction activities over water, including piling, formwork, and concreting, to ensure compliance with company HSE plan and UAE regulatory requirements.
  
• Conducting daily site inspections on barges, work platforms, and scaffolds, identifying hazards such as work at height, drowning risk, lifting operations, and restricted access, and ensured timely corrective actions.
  
• Preparing and implementing Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and HIRA for high‑risk marine activities (pile driving, working over open water, heavy lifting, and night work) and briefed them in daily toolbox talks.
  
• Verified proper use of PPE (life jackets, fall arrest systems, helmets, reflective vests) and enforced exclusion zones during crane and lifting operations over water to prevent dropped‑object and collision incidents.
  
• Assisted in developing emergency response arrangements for man‑overboard, equipment failure, and severe weather, coordinating drills with site management and marine crews.
  
• Investigating near misses and minor incidents on the bridge project, prepared concise reports, and recommended preventive measures to improve site safety performance.

Major Activities;

Fabrication, Assembling, testing of Boiler Components, Steam Turbines, HRSG, Heat Exchangers, Chimneys.

Construction of Central Control Room, Switch Yard, Cooling Towers, Hydrogen Building and Fuel storage areas.

• Plans, prioritizes, allocates and supervises duties of subordinates involved in HSES activities
• To ensure that standard and project specifics HSES management system, international standards, contract and legislative requirements are implemented and Keeps abreast of HSES international developments, new legislation, standards instructions within country of operations and assesses the suitability and viability of implementing or incorporating these into current procedures.
• Ensures the review of scope of work completed to identify trends possible exposure to discrepancies.
• Issues reports on possible trends and discrepancies and identifies areas of concern.
• Recommends mitigation measures and corrective actions.
• Ensures the preparation of the budget for activities under the scope of responsibility and implements HSES requirements for personnel and equipment mobilization demobilization to ensure optimum
• Develops and implements multi‑lingual HSES training induction programs covering all staff levels and labor force to ensure the spread and reinforcement of HSES awareness and, compliance with client and Company requirements.
• Responsible to report or highlight to project and functional management any failings in the implementation of HSE S corporate policies and management system.
• Motivates, develops and guides own staff in order that HSES objectives are met and that individuals develop to fulfill their potential.
• Plans, monitors and reviews performance of own staff in line with HR systems.
• Ensures that accurate HSES statistics are reported, documented and analyzed, and mitigation measures are identified as per the statistics reporting procedure.
• Provides periodic and adhoc reports for management to ensure they are kept informed of significant.
• Requirements with organizational HSES management system.
• Carries out evaluations of sub‑contractor's HSES management systems to ensure standards meet, or exceed, Company and client’s minimum requirements.
• Develops, seeks approval for, and embeds emergency plans, and ensures operational effectiveness through the conducting of drills and compliance checks.
• Set, publishes and communicates clear targets, goals measurable objectives for the HSES performance.
• Reviews all relevant contract documentation to establish HSES requirements and ensure that adequate provision is made to cover them.
• Ensures that investigations into causes of HSES related incidents are carried out; liaises with relevant government bodies and client representatives and prepares reports with recommendations for remedial actions.
• Follows‑up on implementation of approved Interfaces with project management to ensure that the relevance and importance of HSES management system requirements are fully understood and the HSES programs are implemented and complied with.
