I presented cases and attended various work-shops, mainly dealt with general medicine and surgical cases, monthly monitoring of hypertensive and diabetic patients, covered the A/E department and managed medical emergency cases like diabetic ketoacidosis, status asthmaticus, seizures, myocardial infarction etc.

I was doing attachment as Resident in Civil Hospital, Karachi. My duty was looking after the trauma unit, ward and OPD on rotation basis in casualty plus supervising the junior doctors.

It is the oldest teaching hospital of Riyadh. During the course of my work, I presented cases and attended various work-shops, mainly dealt with general medicine and surgical cases, monthly monitoring of hypertensive and diabetic patients, covered the A/E department and managed medical emergency cases like diabetic ketoacidosis, status asthmaticus, seizures, myocardial infarction etc.

Renowned hospital of Karachi comprised of 250 beds with a wide range of medical

services including very efficient emergency ward and trauma center. During my work I was associated with a whole range of General Medical and Surgical cases.

I was also associated with OBE/gyne ward, responsibilities included examination of patients of OPD gynecological wards, labor ward and assisted in fertility clinical.

Independently conducted normal labor and have assisted in numerous Cesarean section.

This unit of medicine is an under graduate and postgraduate teaching unit attached to Dow Medical College, Karachi. I worked as a house officer for six months.

This unit compromised of 48 beds with 4 beds in intensive care unit. I showed good performance in history taking and clinical examination and have gained sufficient practical knowledge and skill for diagnosing and managing complicated cases. I carried out procedures like lumbar punctured, liver biopsy, chest tube insertion, kidney biopsy and drainage of liver abscesses.

Presented number of cases in clinical meetings and took active part in postgraduate teaching program on a regular basis.

Associated with this unit was diabetic clinic in which we were posted for one month and performed satisfactorily.

Civil Hospital, Karachi is a leading government hospital in Pakistan, it is associated with Dow Medical College, Karachi, which is considered most prestigious and respected medical college in South Asia for its high standard and quality.

Completed my house job in surgery, this unit comprised of 40 beds. I assisted my professor in major surgical cases and have performed minor surgical procedures independently.

During my house job in surgery, I attended OPD and casualty on regular basis and took part in clinical seminars and discussions
