Project: Upper Zakum 750 Island Surface Facility Project (EPC02), US$5 billion.
Client: ADNOC Offshore.
- Superintendent responsible for Civil and structural scope on two of the artificial islands (North and west) islands.
- Responsible for North Island’s civil scope (Concrete 38500 M3): Earth Works, Pilling works, U/G works, storm water drainage system, AOC and DO drainage system, U/G EI&T trenches/ duct banks, Precast works, Concrete Paving, U/G piping works, Retaining walls, grading, Preparation of SPMT route, miscellaneous foundations, concrete works, and road works.
- Superintendent for North Island’s Seawater Intake: (Concrete 3000 M3, Structural 400 MT, GRE 8500 Inch. Dia, Metallic 2000 Inch Dia, Cable pulling 220 Km, and 10000 termination). Managing the construction of the main concrete basin, Cathodic protection system, Mechanical packages installation, U/G works, SS SWI Shelters, SS Pipe/ EIT supports, marine works, Electro chlorination package, and filtration package.
- Able to complete the main scope of seawater intake in compressed duration. 6 months for the main basin (3000 m3) and 3 months for the surrounding civil works, with no incident and high quality.
- Achieving an excellent end-product quality with zero leakage flow through the SWI gates, minimal reworks, punches, NCR, CAR, and quality alert compared to other islands.
- Managing critical marine activities such as Dissipation chamber, underwater painting, reinstatement of revetment, and underwater pile breaking.
- Superintendent for North and West Island’s eight PEB buildings (Harbor House, accommodations, workshops, and substations):
q Supervising & Managing the construction of the buildings in a different discipline (Civil, structural, HVAC, MEP, firefighting system, finishing works, and Furniture).
q Achieving an excellent quality with the best architectural finishing works, minimal reworks, punches, NCR, CAR, and quality alert compared to other islands.
q Liquidation of AITRs, MC groups completion, enabling B ITRs, and PSSR on 7 months duration.
- Leading Civil subcontractor team with a high degree of focus on co-ordination of Construction activities with good exposure to Engineering, procurement, QA/QC, subcontracts, and project control.
- Identify requirements and scope of work to S/C; review and study specifications, Plot plans, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Review Philosophies, and all civil and structural relevant documents.
- Contract review, identify and resolve discrepancies and divergences by S/C from the original contract.
- Avoiding the additional cost and reworks by close and continuous daily planning and supervising of site progress.
- Raising and responding to Technical Queries (TQ) related to civil and structural.
- Reviewing the constructability of engineering design and identifying lessons learned related to civil and structural engineering.
- Review & approve: MAR (Material Approval Request), MTDS (Material Technical datasheet), MS (Method Statement), Specifications, and IFC Drawings.
- Ensuring the specifications, ITP, RFI procedure are adhered all the time by subcontractor during the construction phase.
- Following up and expediting the delivery of project materials, to accomplish timely closing of ITRs and punches, and limit the idling time of subcontractor.
- Ensure that the subcontractor proposed material specifications meet Client’s standards. Provide technical procurement assistance in compliance with project specifications & data sheets.
- Participate in AITR closing, punch liquidation and safe completion and handover of PBU01, 02A, 02B groups.
- Leading Progress meetings, interface meeting, Joint walkthrough. Site clashes resolutions and finds and solve issues whenever they arise.
- Plans, develops and supervises renovations, alterations, modifications and installations of camp facilities.
