A South African born citizen, currently working in the UAE for Connexus Air, doing contract work on: Atlas Air, UPS, FedEx and Southern Air. I have over 35 years of aviation experience, and of which the last 22 years have involved flying duties in addition to ground work.
Started in aviation as an apprentice Aircraft Mechanic, rotating between all workshop, hangars and line.
Worked in Non Destructive Testing doing magnetic and fluorescent particle inspection.
Transferred to mechanical maintenance hangar gaining the following company approvals and SA CAA licenses:
- B747 classic, B747-400, 737-200, B737-ADV and B737-800Became a Travelling Technician flying on aircrafts with the above ratings alternating between the ground and flying.
During my career with MK Airlines the aircraft registrations had been changed from 9G to G, therefore it became necessary to complete all the B1 modules.
Working for MK Airlines as a travelling technician flying on the B747-200.
On 14 March 2011, I obtained my GCAA license holding a 737-700/800 with CFM56-7B engines type rating, and B747-200/300 with GE CF6 engines.
Employed by ADAT servicing Midex operated Aircrafts.
