Duties Responsibilities
- Review electrical contract's design drawings, Technical specifications & Contract's documents.
- Review shop drawings, Time schedule program and Method Statement submitted by the contractors and subcontractors.
- Review Electrical & ELV material submittals.
- Respond to WIR and MIR's raised by contractor.
- Report any work executed by contractor that is not complying with specifications.
- Prepare NCR, SOR if required.
- Liaise & Raise regular reports to project manager with regard to work activities on the sites and its progress, constraints on sites.
- Ensure contractor compliance with contract specifications and approved shop drawings & material.
- Join and attend the Weekly and monthly progress meetings & MEP meeting with Client, Contractor, Subcontractors, and Suppliers representative.
- Liaise, Communicate and coordinate with team of engineers, inspectors, main contractor, subcontractor and suppliers to execute work activities and handing over for inspection on time to avoid any delay.
- Review and approve daily, Weekly and monthly progress reports submitted by the contractors and subcontractors.
- Oversee and follow up site staff, including engineers, inspectors in order to carry out whole work activities on sites according to project baseline and time schedule program approved by client.
- Follow up & manage all work activities in accordance with HSE policy and approved procedures.
- Review and approve contractor's monthly payment according to executed works and stored materials on site.
- Prepare correspondences to project manager, client, contractor, subcontractors, suppliers and local authorities.
- Assist project managers/ Resident engineers/ Discipline engineers in delivering all other obligations under the conditions of contract.
- Provides needful clarifications to the Contractors with relation to the Contract Documents.
- Obtains the concerned authorities' approval for modifications / alterations to the design.
- Studies the contractors' claims and presents substantiated report on the same to the Project manager.
- Keep alert of current construction technologies and building materials.
- Coordinate with the client and clearing of all engineering issues. Resolving Engineering disputes between the client and contractor.
- Coordination between design consultant team and lead consultant team.
- Review, and witness the Testing & commissioning of Electrical Installations.
- Review, study and recommend any claims (if any) submitted by the contractor to project manager for review and approval by him and the client.
- Liaise and coordinate with local authority engineers in order to obtain NOCs within the execution of project works and issuance of Building Ending Certificates.
- Liaise & follow up Electricity, Water, Civil defense, Telecommunication, Drainage and other departments to obtain their approval and provide permanent services to the projects.
- Conduct snagging of electrical services and prepare and uploads report through application software.
