It's a perfume manufacturing company inside free zone. I joined this company as procurement executive in mid 2019 and gradually entered into the product development also. Now all the operations relating to purchase come under my realm. Basically we have 3 model of business. 1st is our own perfume brand, 2nd is private label and 3rd filling and packing job. I do all the material resource planning for 1st and 2nd category. For filling and packing job we don't need to do anything.

Some of my key responsibilities are as below

• Responsible for material resource planning
• Continuously monitoring, evaluating and improving supplier performance
• Sourcing the most affordable materials for the company's manufacturing process
• Maintaining stock levels
• Controlling the purchasing budget
• Monitoring delivery times to ensure they are on time
• Ensuring the adequate supply of all required materials, components and equipment
• Regularly contacting suppliers to renegotiate prices
• Working with different international vendors to get the best prices
• Keep an eye on global trends for developing new product

Achievements

• Successfully added 3 big private label clients because we could give them the best price and were able to fulfill their requirements. That was because I shifted the whole production to China. All the components come from China at the same time. We do only filling and packing here. I try not to work with local vendors for big projects
• Reduced the costing around 25% for all our brand items
