  • OBJECTIVE:
  • The Main Objective of this work is to supply water to the tanks nearst in Bijapur dt by lifting of water from Krishna River by pumps through approach canal and conveying water to the tanks through pipe lines
  • ELEMENTS:
  • The different elements involved in this project is
  • Approach Canal :This is an intake from the Krishna river which obtained water from Krishna river of 2km length.with 2 nos of SLRB with 12m span and 30m span
  • Pump House:This is suppose to construct to lift water through pumps it is of 27.8m of height from ground level and this is constructed along with switch gear room which contains the overall control of pumps .The pump house contains 5 Motors (3 HT motors and 2 LT motors) and Manifolds for pipes and surge tanks and 33 kv substation
  • Raising Main : The raising main is nothing but pressure main with MS pipe line of 18km long of 1.2m dia and 0.6m of lenth of 8km for LT motors.The water flow through this pipes under pressure
  • Delivery Chamber :The pressure main supply water to the delivery chamber it contains two minutes of retention time and then supply water to the gravity main
  • Gravity Main :In this the water flows under gravity through GRP pipes upto 60km length in between this feeder lines also connected with HDPE pipes to supply water to the tanks.This pipes of dia 1.3m ,1.2m and 0.6m respectively
