• Maintenance of lifesaving, firefighting and anti-pollution equipment according to instructions of Chief Officer, Safety Officer or Bosun.
• Deck maintenance according to the instructions received by the bosun or the Chief Officer.
• Assist in receiving or offloading of ships spares and supplies including safe stowage and securing.
• Familiar with the company's shipboard procedures and policies.
• Operate the safety equipment and shall therefore actively participate in safety drills and training.

• Assisting at Master's discretion and Officers supervision.
• Demonstrate the competences required of an officer in charge of a navigational watch
• Training in the Company's Safety Management System;
