In this role, I:

• Lead seven-form entry Reception/FS2 team, elevating teaching standards and learning outcomes in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework
• Manage daily operations for year group of 200 children and 17 staff, including timetabling, staff cover and crisis management.
• Contribute to leadership team that has improved department rating from Very Good to Outstanding in all areas, in two inspections.
• Have developed a Literacy curriculum to enhance independent writing, integrating Tales Toolkit and Oxford Owl
• Have introduced RWI phonics programme with progress tracking tool resulting in Outstanding data results for Word Reading and Comprehension
• Support professional development for Literacy and UtW leads, fostering skill development
• Carry out regular formal and informal lesson observations, learning walks and book looks
• Provide constructive feedback to teachers, encouraging growth whilst celebrating achievements
• Lead departmental moderation sessions and taking part in multi-school moderations

• Create high-quality, purposeful, child-led learning environments that promote cross-curriculum learning and develop children's curiosity
• Work closely with inclusion team to ensure that IEPs and Student Profiles are implemented
• Have created and introduced a formative, visual assessment tool that has been highlighted by inspectorates as innovative and effective
• Organise large scale, high quality cross-phase performances, including Graduations and Winter shows
• Adapted teaching methods and interventions for diverse student needs, abilities and languages

• Led teams in creating inspiring and purposeful learning environments across the school
• Led moderation meetings and contributed to monitoring outstanding practice through lesson observations and environment walks
• Streamlined baseline assessment, data collection and developed a whole Key Stage assessment approach
• Maintained informative, frequent and in-depth digital portfolios for all children through the Seesaw application

• As a result of an Ofsted inspection I was appointed Manager of the preschool, following the recommendations of the inspecting team.

In this role, I:

• Implemented subtantial number of changes across the setting and led an Ofsted inspection.
• Introduced concept of Forest School to the setting, overseeing its development and implementation and sourcing appropriate training for staff
• Established a website and Facebook page to ensure consistent and good quality communication and raise the local profile of the preschool
• Developed an ICT element to the provision, offering high quality learning using tablets as recording devices and number and phonics tool
• Rewrote setting's policies, procedures and risk assessments
