Summary

Have thirty two (32) years’ experiences in the field of I&C related engineering in KEPCO E&C. During working at KEPCO E&C, I have performed various tasks including system design of major safety systems of I&C. The main tasks I have performed are as follows:

As an Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineer at KEPCO since June 1995, I have been responsible for performing various system designer’s works of YGN (Hanbit) 5,6, UCN (Hanwol) 5,6, SKN (Shin-Kori) 1,2,3,4,5,6, SWN (Shin-Wolsong) 1,2, BNPP 1,2,3,4, and SHN (Shin-Hanwol) 1,2 for twenty (27) years. I am mainly involved in safety systems (PPS, CPCS, ESF-CCS) as responsible engineer as well as specialist for eighteen (20) years and as team leader for seven (7) years.

I have participated in the MMIS development of the Advanced Power Reactor 1400 (APR1400) in the initial stage, after completing its concept design for the Korea Next Generation Reactor (KNGR). I have mainly performed in-detail design of MMIS of APR1400 for SKN 3, 4.

As a supervisor and a Project Manager (PM) for an oversees project, I have been responsible for performing managements to get APR1000 NPP design certificate of EUR Rev. E and to prepare a biding documents for the Dukobany NPP of Czech Republic for three (3) years.

As a Site Manager (SM) for BNPP, I have been responsible for providing system designer’s support to complete the commercial operation for BNPP units 3, 4 for two (2) years.

Even in the middle of the system design works, I have also participated in the various Design Change Package (DCP) works for Korean domestic NPPs including “the reactor trip prevention when single 12 finger drops”.
