Role and Responsibilities:

• Managing Electrical System major/ shutdown maintenance including UPS, Switchgear, Generators, Mechanical

• Managing installation Projects

• Managing new Customer Installations (Cables, Cold Aisle Cages, Cages)

• Assist in reviewing and developing DC Processes and Policies

• Prepare and present periodic operational reports as per the DC requirements

• Inspection and Validation the Work Completion, HSE and Quality Control .

• Internal Audit for all Processes and SLAs

• Backup for DC SITE MANAGER & SITE COORDINATOR

• Adhering to and implementing all facility guidelines and procedures related to his/her work.

• Developing all MoPs for all (minor) preventive maintenance activities according to vendors/0EM Operation Manuals

• Following SOPs and EOPs during preventive and corrective maintenance.

• Executing and filling Work Orders, verifying minor maintenance tasks performed by on site Technicians, and witnessing major maintenance tasks performed by Vendors

• Verifying isolation, shut down, start-up, emergency shut-down and restoration procedures of all data center facility infrastructure equipment whenever needed.

• Performing daily walk rounds, monitoring Building Management System (BMS), and for clearing all critical and minor alarms on both equipment control panel and BMS workstation.

• Conducting periodic testing on Engine Generators without load, and without utility.

• Switching and managing rotating equipment and maintaining redundancy.

• Responding to unplanned events and emergency scenarios, and for sustaining data center operations.

• Escalating emergency failures and alarms to Facility Maintenance Supervisor and Vendors.,

• Maintaining tools calibrated and in good condition

• Managing spare parts and consumables inventories on site and keeping them up-to-date

• Report any required changes to the executed procedures in the Work Order once completed.

• Advise on any enhancement to be made to the current SOPs, EOPs, and MoPs through formal change request.

• Executing any required change to the facility (set point, redundancy rotation, labelling.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: -

• In depth knowledge of Diesel Generator, SMDB, UPS, ATS, MV Switchgear, ACB, DB,

CRAH units, Rectifiers, Chillers, FAHU, AHU, FCU etc.

• Ability to perform the power up, power deinstallation and circuit load test as per the

customer requirements.

• Ability to perform maintenance of emergency lighting system, ACS system, MFACP,FECP,

FCS,WLDS,FLDS and CCTV.

• Manage and track cooling capacity, temperatures, and efficiency throughout the Data

canters.

• Manage and track electrical capacity, UPS loads, customer consumption and breaker availability.

• Plan physical environment installs including capacity expansions, system upgrades, and new

CRAC, In Row cooling, UPS, distribution panels, etc.

• Responsible to lead the troubleshooting process and repairs in case of events or

equipment failure.

• Oversee and monitor all facilities record keeping and update dashboards related to this field

of work.

• Review and approve all facilities maintenance tasks/MOPS when required as part of

change management system.

• To use safety equipment (including PPE) as required and intended and observe that this is

also enforced within the department and among sub-contractors and third parties working in

Equinix controlled premises/systems.

• Carry out PPM (planned preventive maintenance) routines as per the schedule & fill up

checklists, maintain various logs, (e.g. equipment breakdown/incident tracker, history card

etc.).

• To ability to operate BMS (ASCENT COMPASS BY ALERTON),EQUINIX IBX SMART

VIEW,BCM and CENTER SCAPE BY RF CODE.
