- Responsible for quality control of secondary aluminium alloy production , covering scrap inspection, charge preparation, melting, melt treatment, casting and final ingot inspection.
- Prepare economical charge calculations by optimizing different scrap/raw-material combinations to achieve required alloy chemistry at lowest possible melting cost , while maintaining quality requirements.
- Monitor and control chemical composition of aluminium alloys using OES/Spectrometer , ensuring compliance with customer and applicable alloy specifications.
- Perform K-Mould testing to evaluate quality of molten aluminium and assess presence of inclusions/oxide-related defects in melt.
- Conduct Reduced Pressure Test (RPT) on molten aluminium to evaluate hydrogen content and melt cleanliness/porosity tendency .
- Operate and monitor hydrogen analyzer equipment for liquid aluminium melt , including checking dissolved hydrogen levels before casting.
- Perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor key process parameters, identify process variations and implement corrective/preventive actions to maintain consistent product quality.
- Analyze production and quality data to identify process trends, deviations and opportunities for improvement .
- Involved in spectrometer operation, routine maintenance, troubleshooting and coordination of calibration/service activities to ensure reliable chemical analysis.
- Monitor production processes and troubleshoot issues related to melting, furnace operation, melt treatment, launder, distributor, casting and ingot quality .
- Support equipment troubleshooting and maintenance activities , identifying recurring equipment problems and coordinating corrective actions with maintenance teams.
- Involved in design/implementation project of automated ingot stacking robot , including coordination, troubleshooting and technical problem-solving during project execution.
