Energetic, compassionate and loving nanny/maternity nurse who offers a wide range of childcare services. Specializing in providing tailored care for children with special educational needs (SEN). Dedicated to fostering a safe, nurturing environment that promotes children's developmental and emotional growth. I am fun, efficient and passionate about my work. I have a firm but fair attitude. I am a keen artist, with a creative and vivid imagination. I have been a childcare professional for over 10 years and proficiency assimilating into a new family unit comes naturally to me. I qualified in childcare level 3 in 2011. Since then I have been a maternity nurse, nannied full time, on rota, worked in a nursery and volunteered in orphanages overseas. I have also been a live in Carer for challenging elderly and disabled clients during the pandemic. But my real passion lies with nurturing and educating children. I excel in creative activities. I'm skilled in maintaining routines, following commitments and creating schedules.

I started this role when baby was 6 weeks old. In this role I established a sleep routine and implemented baby led weaning from 6 months old. I enjoyed cooking meals for the whole family on a regular basis. I have a vested interest in early childhood development ie practicing Montessori, phonics and the use of flash cards. We enjoyed themed educational weeks (under the sea, dinosaurs, space) etc. I developed her fine and gross motor skills, she was walking, talking and potty trained from an early age with my encouragement. This has been a 24/6 role for the duration of my time with the family. Amplifying my flexibility and ability to work long hours for long periods of time.
This role was with an elderly couple. The gentleman had MS and his wife had Parkinson's. Both were very challenging clients. Here I was in charge of distributing medication, cooking, personal care and all household duties
I started this role as a maternity nurse for the newborn providing individualized postnatal care. I assisted with breastfeeding support, offering personalized guidance and troubleshooting feeding issues. I created nurturing, positive environments, supporting both mothers’ and infants' well-being during critical early stages. After 6 months I transitioned in to rota offering care to the other children too aged 2, 7 and 11. This role was beneficial to me as it allowed me to work with older children as previously I had just been with 5 and under. I helped the 11 year old study for their SAT's and developed the 7 year olds reading and writing skills. As well as potty training and teaching important life skills to the 2 year old. I prepared meals and fun, educational games
This role was with newborn twins. I started this role as a maternity nurse for the first 12 weeks, providing 24/7 care before moving on to rota. This was 24/7 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. I developed a precise routine for the children and succeeded in teaching them to walk and talk from an early age. The twins had intolerances so broadened my understanding of dietary needs. I supported them through preschool and in to primary school.
I worked with children from the age of 0-4, expanding my understanding within each age. Within the toddlers I had my own key group where I developed their skills. Providing each child with one to one education and care by planning daily activities. I served the children their meals and filled out daily nappy/meal/sleep reports. When working with the babies I developed sleeping and feeding routines, also keeping them stimulated and entertained
During this time I volunteered in various orphanages and schools with underprivileged children. My friend and I taught basic English and Art to the children. This was one of the best experiences of my life.
My first role developed my SEN experience as the child had autism/ADHD. This was one of my most rewarding positions as the child was non verbal when I started and I developed his speech immensely. My duties included creating a routine for the child that was stuck to strictly. Speech therapy. Maintaining a safe and healthy environment. Keeping the child stimulated both physically and mentally. We enjoyed frequent fun and educational days out. Other duties included housework and preparing healthy, nutritious meals.
