  • Follow all relevant processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions accurately to ensure that job tasks are carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Help implement and automate information management procedures, library procedures, and customize solutions for the department when needed by researching and using best practice methodologies and UOS bylaws to meet the users’ needs.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain computer software/hardware, as well as ensure compliance with license agreements and copyright legislation when using licensed software.

  • Provide technical support and assistance to The Library’s team, and help other users understand the system by proving immediate assistance and/or developing manuals and user guides using UOS documentation guidelines.
  • Oversee all library computers, devices, systems, networks, and E-resources accessibility and perform continuous checkups to ensure that all library systems are operating effectively and report any matters of concern to the line manager to contact the vendor to address these issues.
  • Manage and update the library’s page on the university's website, ensuring that it reflects current resources and services.
  • Help improve Library Content Management System resources, and handle any software/system upgrades and updates to ensure that they are functional and up to date, as well as provide users with the best services possible by enhancing the system’s performance.
  • Participate in related projects and enhancements that help support and improve the department and the University in general, and be an active member of the project team, ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Complete any other job-related tasks as assigned by the line manager within the expected time limit.
