▪ Safe Handling and administration of medication /narcotics/controlled drugs according to policies & protocols and also the maintenance of registers and documents as per hospital policy.
▪ Competent in the use of medical equipments and materials necessary for the resuscitations and stabilization of women and neonate.
· Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients with conditions such as heart failure, stroke, respiratory distress, sepsis, and trauma.
· Monitor and interpret vital signs, blood work, and other indicators to detect early signs of deterioration and intervene appropriately.
· Administer medications, IV fluids, and life-saving interventions such as pressors, sedatives, and analgesics.
· Operate and manage ventilators and other life-support equipment to maintain patient stability.
· Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, respiratory therapists, and social workers to plan and execute patient care.
· Provide support for family members, offering emotional support, explanations of patient conditions, and guidance on treatment options.
· Participate in resuscitation efforts, including CPR, and provide post-resuscitation care as required.
· Document all patient interactions, treatments, and responses in EHR to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
· Provide comprehensive care during labor and delivery, ensuring the safety and comfort of mothers and newborns.
· Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vitals, and contractions to assess labor progress and intervene as necessary.
· Administer pain relief, including epidurals and medication, while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
· Assist in deliveries, supporting physicians and midwives in the delivery process and emergency situations.
· Provide immediate postpartum care, including assisting with initial breastfeeding and monitoring maternal recovery.
· Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions in the Electronic Health Records (EHR).
· Educate patients on labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery to ensure informed decision-making and a positive experience.
