Key Responsibilities

1. Utilities & Infrastructure Coordination

• Supervise the installation of both wet and dry utility networks, including stormwater drainage, telecom, irrigation, potable water, LV (Low Voltage), and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) lines.
• Proactively identify and manage potential clashes in narrow utility corridors using detailed coordination and overlay drawings.
• Verify line, level, pipe bedding, backfilling, compaction, and trench works prior to subsequent construction stages.
• Ensure all utility installations are accurately aligned and meet design elevations.

2. Road Works Execution

• Supervise road construction activities including subgrade, sub-base, road base, prime coat, and asphalt laying.
• Coordinate with surveyors to ensure strict adherence to road profiles, gradients, and alignments.

3. Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC)

• Conduct daily inspections to ensure all civil and utility works comply with approved shop drawings, project specifications, and local authority standards.
• Witness critical site testing activities, including hydrostatic/pressure tests for potable water and irrigation lines, compaction tests, and CCTV inspections for stormwater.
• Review contractor method statements, material submittals, and as-built drawings.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Site Observations (SOs) for any deviations from the approved standards.

4. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor the contractor's progress against the approved baseline construction schedule.
• Report on resource allocation (manpower, equipment, and materials) ensuring efficient site operations.

5. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

• Enforce strict adherence to UAE safety regulations and project-specific HSE guidelines on-site.
• Conduct regular safety briefings, review hazard risk assessments (RAMS), and ensure proper permits to work (PTW) are in place for excavations and heavy machineries.

• During this period, I was responsible for the operation,maintenance and engineering & construction of new work order of key roads within NEOM City, including:

• Key Contributions & Responsibilities:
• Ensured compliance with NEOM's safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
• Oversaw preparation of subgrade, and the sequential laying of sub-base, base, and wearing courses across multiple locations.
• Tackled rutting in wearing courses on several roads—most notably on Spine Construction Road, H55, and H8784—by milling up to 150 mm over approximately 50 km using Wirtgen milling machinery up to width of 7 m, followed by reapplication of multi-layer wearing courses.
• Maintained cleanliness of the entire road surface, carriageways, and 100 m from the centerline in both directions, along with ensuring upkeep of signage (small and large).
• Installed necessary signboards (e.g., precautionary, informational, regulatory), road barriers (rolling coastal barriers, RCC New Jersey barriers, metal beam crash barriers with T1 and T2 terminals), and cat’s eyes (reflectors) on divided and undivided carriageways.
• Executed road marking operations, including centerline (white) and pavement edge (yellow) painting.
• Conducted routine and ad hoc site inspections to monitor progress, proactively identify issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure maintenance and project objectives were met.
• Conducted comprehensive analysis of road conditions, identified maintenance needs, and devised cost-effective, safety- and durability-focused solutions.
• Reported regularly: daily, weekly, monthly, and annually, offering detailed performance insights and status updates.
• Identified and promptly repaired potholes and cracks, and performed grading, watering, and rolling operations along the full stretches.
• Implement routine clearing of sand accumulation due to wind and sandstorms.
• Coordinated with emergency response teams and contractors to safely remove accident-involved vehicles from roadways, restoring safe traffic flow in a timely and professional manner.
• Accidental vehicle was removed using a combination of Wheel Loaders, JCB machines, and Hydraulic Cranes, ensuring rapid road clearance and restoration of traffic flow with minimal delay.
• Uphold all NEOM safety protocols and environmental regulations, ensuring a secure and compliant work environment.
• Cleaning sand accumulated on roads using equipment such as Skid Steer Loaders, Road Sweepers, Broomers, Backhoe Loaders, and Wheel Loaders, depending on the volume of sand present.

• Key Contributions & Responsibilities :-
• Working as a Highway Engineer
• We are constructing the India's 1st 8-lane and Asia's longest (1350 Km) Expressway in terms of width 100 m (ROW)and Asia’s Longest Expressway
• Doing the entire process from starting period of projects such as C&G,OGL Recording, Soil Dumping, Embankment and Subgrade preparation with proper compaction, laying of crust layer such as GSB/CTSB,WMM,DBM,SMA with proper compaction and other miscellaneous works.
• To enhance the strength of soil of Subgrade Top Layer, we used Lime-Soil stabilization technique so that it can improve its properties like maximum dry density, bearing capacity etc.
• Engaged in Lime-Soil Stabilization works done by the WIRTGEN WR 240 (Soil stabilizer and Cold Recycler) machine followed by Lime Spreader Truck, Water tanker attached to Soil stabilizer (WR 240), Sheep footed roller for compaction and grader for finishing blade and at last Rolling by Single Drum Vibratory Roller.
• The width of Main Carriageway for Lime-Soil Stabilization works is 20 m upto 250 mm thickness and completed about 20 km in length
• Work as a Highway Engineer, who is responsible for doing a work in a quality manner & in a stipulated time as order by a higher authority for completing a main carriageway, paved shoulder, earthen shoulder, kerb shyness, chute drain, boundary wall, median (uprest or depressed) & other miscellaneous work such as Street light, stone pitching, centre line marking, pavement edge line marking, Mandatory, Informatory & Cautionery Sign board etc.
• Working at VUP, LVUP & SVUP for RE Wall works such as Paraweb Installation, filling of filter media, RE panel erection, Pond Ash filling layer wise and rolling by double drum baby roller.
• Exposure about newly designed wearing course as SMA (Stone Matrix Asphalt) which is German Technology and depressed median in this project is interesting apart from other project.

• Works as a Site Engineer
• Responsible for maintaining the quality standards of various layers of crust of pavement such as GSB/CTSB,WMM,DBM and BC during laying and also maintained proper compaction in embankment and subgrade layer
• Inspection for civil construction works at site and be ensure about that the work is done as per project specification and issued for construction drawing/final approved drawing from authorities.
• Know about the construction Apron,Taxiway, Resurfacing of runway,RSA (Reserve Safety Area), and Allied works at AF Pune Airport.
• And get the experience about Widening and Strengthening the existing 2 lane into 4 lane project.
• And most importantly safety precautions taken place because of traffic movement on existing road parallel to proposed road (for construction).
