MIZA-Early Wins, Construction Phase 1 (CP1), the contract value of AED 140 million, is almost completed. The design phase and construction phase are working parallelly. The remaining phases have the approximate contract value of AED. 3.8 billion

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Post-contract role with overall commercial responsibilities in the project, leading the commercial team of 6 members
• Conduct workshops with package contractors during each design stage to optimize cost certainty and inform decisions
• Submit market test outcomes, including comparative statements and all associated correspondence, under an 'open book procurement' approach
• Hold final discussions with the project management team, the Engineer, and the Employer on appointing each package contractor, and facilitate the issuance of Engineer’s Instructions (EIs)
• Coordinate with the estimation department to ensure accuracy of cost submissions for each design development stage (concept, schematic, detailed design), and harmonize these submissions with actual market test returns
• Sub-contract payments and dispute resolution with various subcontractors
• Internal monthly cost reporting with recommendation to optimize profit
• Coordination and guidance of the project team in various contractual matters
• Setting and monitoring KPIs on the commercial team to ensure timely deliverables
• Contractual letter writing on numerous matters related to the post-contract stage.

• Preparation and reviewing of monthly interim applications
• Change management processes including identifying and reviewing variation order requests and involvement until the finalization of variations
• Sub-contract payments and dispute resolution with various subcontractors
• Maintaining and monitoring KPIs on the post contract commercial team
• Internal cost reporting, final accounts, and negotiations
• Review the condition of contracts and needful comments with identifying risks and to mitigate the same
• Final review of tender queries before notification towards the concerned stakeholders
• Monitoring KPI on the estimation team to ensure timely submission and final review of the tender documents
• Contractual letter writing on numerous matters related to the post-contract stage.

• Concept BOQ for master planning from conceptual stage, including close coordination with the design team in line with concept drawings and presentation
• Generating the cost database by considering relevant factors, discussion, and finalization of concept BOQ
• Change management process till finalization of variations, sub-contract payments
• Dispute resolution with various subcontractors
• Interim payment certification, monthly cost reports, final accounts, and negotiations
• Coordination with the project team and guidance in various aspects of contractual matters.
