  • A CAS project is a group-based, thoughtfully planned sequence of experiences that involves students in one or more of the CAS strands of creativity, activity, and service
  • Thirteen students visited Vietnam throughout the course of these two weeks
  • Each person was given a task, such as providing food, lodging, transportation, rest & relaxation, and finances
  • I managed the finances, which totalled about $7500 (US)
  • This required me to plan the budget for the community work, the entire trip, money for other departments, and currency conversion for personal funds
  • After setting aside some funds for the volunteer work, we constructed a room, a kitchen, and two toilets for two families
  • This project helped me improve my project planning and cultural competency.
