• I use my media studies knowledge—even though it was just a year—as a strong creative foundation for my photography and videography. It helped me understand visual storytelling, composition, and how to create content that connects with an audience. I learned how to plan shoots with meaning, think about lighting, angles, and editing choices to match a message or mood. That year also taught me how media influences people, which helps when creating content for brands or social media. Even basic things like writing shot lists, understanding target audiences, or analyzing films gave me ideas I now use in my work. It may have been short, but it gave me the mindset to think beyond just capturing a good image—I aim to tell a story.
• Even though I only studied business for a year and didn’t feel very strong in it, I still use the basics to help with my photography and videography—for example, understanding simple budgeting, planning, and how to offer services that meet what clients want.
