These unit operations are as follows: - Fired Heaters, Reactors, Distillation columns, Vacuum system, Steam Generation System, Chilled water, Refrigerant liquid system, Ammonia Chilling System, Tank farm, Centrifuge, Filters & Dryers, Multistage pumps, compressors, High pressure and High temp Reactors, Hydrogen bullets, Heat exchangers, Charge heaters, Flare header, Ammonia bullets, various types of valves etc… I handled different types of pumps, compressors, distillation columns, reactors, filters, centrifuges, etc. I am thoroughly conversant in the operation of DCS, emergencies, start-up & shutdown of plant, monitoring of process parameters ensuring proper safety measures in all operations. Knowledge of handling chemicals like Methanol, Stearyl Alcohols Toluene, Methyl Ethyl Ketone, Cyclohexane Phenols, Methyl Acrylate, HCL, H2SO4, Acetic Acid, diesel, kerosene, ethylene oxide, TMA, KOH etc. I have an exceptional ability to work with an international force with good communication skills. During Unit Operations, Equipment’s Handled: - 1) Pumps: - Sulzer, Flowserve, Syndyne, Kirloskar & IR made, Amine Pumps, NGL Pumps. 2) Compressor: - single stage and double stage. Steam Turbines, Propane Compressors GE made centrifugal turbine driven and motor driven up to capacity 90,000 M3/hr. 3) Balance draft and natural draft heaters, blowers, rotary valve. Etc. Nature of Duties: - Report to Production Engineer. Taking field readings and log sheet fill up and entry to computer, Report preparation, and Routine change over of equipments, Emergency handling, and Mock drill. I Check and observe on an ongoing process takes and records in both field and local control rooms a variety of parameters as required a variety of readings such as gas flows, temperatures, levels, flow rates and vibrations and records unusual occurrences after reporting them to control room. I do start up, shut down, isolate and adjust flow rates, levels and temperatures on pumps, motors, tanks, loading arms, compressors and flares as instructed. I manually adjust and assist others in adjusting a variety of valves in governing rates of flow, levels of pressure and chemical feed, to ensure desired output. I take independent action to ensure maintenance of specified operating conditions, mixing and adjusting chemical feed, lubricating various mechanisms as and when required. I am Responsible for the support of company safety, adhering to the environment and quality policies and programs, and carrying out specific duties and responsibilities related to my job. I am well versed in handling my duties and in assisting operators in other units during start-up, collecting samples, taking samples to the laboratory if urgently required; collecting chemicals assisting in fire fighting, etc. also ensure that all equipment is kept free of oil and grease and working area is kept always tidy. FIRE AND SAFETY EXPOSURE
  • - Experience and knowledge of Fire & Safety equipment and procedures, Good Housekeeping Practices. Familiar with all fire fighting equipments and system. Good knowledge of process safety management system. Deluge Valve and Sprinkler system operation. Fire detection system, operation of fire hydrants & monitors. Expertise in handling fire extinguishers like Foam, DCP and CO2. Good Knowledge in using PPE’s like SCBA. Acting as Emergency First Aid Coordinator of the Department. Issuing Safe Work Permits to ensure safety of job. Detailed understanding of Gas Detectors like Combustible gas, Toxic gas etc. Near miss, Unsafe Act and Unsafe Condition Reporting. Maintain records and carryout checks for the QMS/OHSAS. Periodic Checkups of fire & safety equipments.
