• Developed customized training materials for various work sections identifying the risks they are mostly exposed to and applicable mitigation measures.
• Incidents Recording and Reporting
• Updating Company policies to ensure Compliance with regulatory bodies.
• Creating a waste management plan and ensuring its implemented
• Carrying out orientation to new employees
• Tracking employee attendance and trying to identify any influence of attendance due to environment, health and safety issues.
• Issuing Personal Protective Equipments (PPE)

Responsibilities

Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal

• Improved local ecosystem health by conducting regular environmental assessments and implementing restoration projects.
• Carry out regular sites inspection to ensure adherence to environmental, health and safety requirements as well as risk assessments in borrowpits, dumping sites and all active sites under construction.
• Assist in carrying out toolbox talks to all employees on active sites to ensure proper training on OHS-related needs in the workplace
• Records keeping with regards to accidents, personal protective equipment and personnel in the QHSE department
• Carrying out accidents investigation and reporting
• Monthly, quarterly and annual reports writing

• Efficiently managing assigned tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Daily inspection of the Fish ponds and fish development
• Preparation of fish feeds
• Records keeping
• Carry out research on the impacts of poor waste disposal along the coastline
• Collect data, analyse and carry out presentations to determine the amount of waste disposed into the water bodies along the coastal region
• Mangoove biomass calculations: to find out the impact of mangroves in carbon fixation and atmosphere purification
• Involvement in mangrove rehabilitation and planting
