ROLE: FACILITYOPERATIONS ENGINEER

Al Maktoum International Airport (Dubai World Central), one of the largest and most advanced aviation hubs in the world,

· Oversee the maintenance and operations of the Passenger Terminal Building (PTB), Air Traffic Control Tower (ATC), Cargo Terminal Building, Airside Operations, and associated facilities, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and regulatory compliance across all areas.

· Directed and coordinated the maintenance of all airport systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, airfield lighting, ground support equipment, security, and communication systems to ensure seamless airport operations.

· Lead the engineering operations for airport infrastructure, including airfield systems, runway and taxiway maintenance, terminal facilities, baggage handling, and airfield lighting systems

· Coordinated with the fire prevention team to ensure the continuous functionality and testing of fire safety systems across all facilities, including fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, fire suppression systems, and emergency response drills.

· Oversee the development and execution of preventive maintenance programs for critical airport systems to minimize downtime and optimize the operational lifespan of equipment.

· Coordinated maintenance schedules to support daily airport operations and ensured that any disruptions were minimized for passenger and aircraft activities.

· Provide emergency response coordination during incidents or accidents, ensuring the rapid resolution of issues to minimize operational disruption.

· Report directly to senior management on key performance indicators, system performance, safety audits, and operational improvements.

· Regularly conducted inspections and audits of airfield systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures

ROLE: SENIOR TECHNICAL EXECUTIVE

· Oversee daily data center operations, ensuring the optimal performance and availability of critical systems including IT infrastructure, power, cooling, and network connectivity.

· Implement and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure all systems, such as UPS, HVAC, backup generators, and power distribution units (PDUs), function without interruption.

· Ensure capacity planning and resource optimization to support business continuity, scalability, and future growth needs of the data center.

· Manage and maintain energy-efficient practices, continuously striving to reduce operational costs and improve sustainability in the data center.

· Develop and enforce operational procedures for managing system performance, security, disaster recovery, and incident response, adhering to industry best practices.

· Lead the execution of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability at all times.

· Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely procurement of equipment and services, and negotiating SLAs with third-party service providers.

· Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data center systems and work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues efficiently.

ROLE: FACILITY ENGINEER

Aircraft maintenance hangars & Qatar duty free and inflight duty-free warehouse. (New Doha international airport, Qatar).

The hangar can accommodate simultaneously up to 13 aircraft, including the new Airbus A380 and the next generation Boeing 787.

· Lead and manage the Aircraft Maintenance Hangar & Emiri Hangar facilities engineering/management activities, the functional operations of the facilities and maintenance service and support. Facilities services include corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance, as well as plant operations, subcontract management, space management assistance, and clean room support

· Manage and execute all kind of maintenance works Electrical distribution system (LV), GPU (400 HZ), service PITs, PCA, HVAC, Hangar doors, UPS, Generator, Docking Bay Doors, FADS, Flame Detection system, Fire sprinkler and Foam Deluge system, Low Voltage Switchgear, Power Factor Correction Capacitor etc. inside the Aircraft Maintenance Hangar & Emiri Hangar.

· Ensured the smooth functioning of all Preventive and Corrective Fire and life System and Extra Low Voltage Systems such as CCTV, PA system, ACS System, Central Battery systems, Lighting Control panel etc., inside the Aircraft Maintenance Hangar & Emiri Hangar.

· Supervise local engineering team to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, sequence of operations and maintenance standards to guarantee execution of Digital Realty’s periodic maintenance program and maintenance calendar

· Detailed Co-ordination with client, other airport wide HIA stakeholders (IT, HV etc) to obtain approval for conducting major maintenance works such as substation shutdown etc.

· Responsible for testing and maintaining all LV panels and Fire and Lie Safety system including Primary Injection test for ACB’s, REF Testing, CT Testing, MCCB & ACB Protection Relay testing with ABB PR 010 Test Kit & Schneider FFT kit, Thermal Imaging, Earth loop impedance testing and RCD testing.

· Successfully led the fire & life safety engineering team for checking and verification of Fire Safety Maintenance and procedures along with carrying out functional testing of all Fire Safety Systems to ensure the system integrity.

· Maintained effective energy management and preventive maintenance programs and conducted special training for other operating departments on the safe and efficient use of equipment and energy.

· Accountable for conducting walk-through and visually assessing the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structures, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and any other related equipment.

· Attend weekly meeting with management to review performance report and further follow up meeting with down the line team.

· Spearheaded the execution of planned preventive maintenance using the Pirana software (CMMS) & attended the corrective maintenance as per the priorities.

· Worked with the team to execute operating plans and capital and expense budgets and to develop assets in a cost-effective manner.

· Helped develop budgets and plans and assisted operations personnel in reviewing existing facilities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

· Managing suppliers/specialist contractors/OEM’s for Procurement function. Technical Evaluation and finalization of vendors and sub-Contracts in co-ordination with in house department.

· Conducted Training on Fire & Life Safety systems and Mock-up Fire Drills at client’s premises for their employees. Training session consists of theoretical classes, practical demonstrations for the employs as per the facility requirements.

ROLE: TESTING AND COMMISSIONING ENGINEER

· Led the testing and commissioning of Siemens Fire Finder XLS Control Panels for large refinery projects, including Sadara and Satorp, commissioning over 120 panels across multiple sites.

· Managed the installation and testing of fire alarm and detection systems, including advanced Gas-based fire suppression systems and Foam & Deluge systems.

· Configured MODBUS Bus communication systems and carried out functional checks for various fire detection and suppression equipment.

· Oversaw the handover of completed systems, ensuring thorough checks and validation before client acceptance.

· Worked closely with clients and project teams to ensure all systems met stringent regulatory and safety standards, providing ongoing support during the Defect Liability Period (DLP).

· Developed and executed detailed testing & commissioning procedures, reports, and documentation, including the creation of as-built drawings and operation manuals.

Key Achievements:

• Successfully completed the commissioning of fire detection and suppression systems in one of the largest refineries in Saudi Arabia, ensuring systems were fully operational and compliant with client specifications.
• Played a key role in system design and testing, ensuring seamless integration with existing plant operations.

• Responsible for executing electrical works as per project schedules, overseeing the installation and commissioning of electrical systems across the Dubai Maritime City project
• Assisted in resolving technical issues related to electrical systems, ensuring the efficient progress of the project and timely delivery
• Conducted regular inspections and tests of electrical systems, including navigational panel systems, generator synchronization panels, and battery charger panels
• Supervised the testing, commissioning, and repair of various electrical systems, ensuring they met required safety standards and operational specifications.
