• Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of drilling equipment and machinery.
• Handle drill pipes and casing, connect and disconnect drill strings, and operate tongs and wrenches.
• Monitor mud systems and assist in mixing drilling fluids.
• Clean and maintain the rig floor and associated equipment.
• Grease, oil, and inspect rig equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report equipment faults to supervisors.
• Follow all safety procedures, including wearing PPE and attending safety briefings.
• Report any incidents, hazards, or unsafe practices immediately.
• Participate in emergency drills and comply with NAFCO’s HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies.
• Work under the direction of the driller or rig supervisor.
• Coordinate with other rig crew members, such as derrickmen, roughnecks, and motormen.
• Assist in training new crew members and sharing best practices.
• Ensure smooth rig operations through timely and accurate task execution.
• Help with rig-up and rig-down procedures when moving rigs to new locations.
• Support cementing and casing operations as required.
• Keep logs of activities performed, including tool usage and maintenance.
• Provide input for shift handovers and safety reports.

• Inspect and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems in vehicles.
