Summary

The Principal Consultant II (Technical Safety) position shares responsibility for the overall operation and growth of the technical safety business by managing projects and project teams, safeguarding company funds and property, and representing the company with respect to clients. Application of hazard identification and risk assessment approaches to risk control is also within the scope of this position, with a focus on developing an understanding of exposures, risk mitigation, opportunities for improvement and control responsibilities. This individual will be given opportunities to develop and maintain skills, knowledge and certifications in Technical Safety, Process Safety and/or engineering, as needed to maintain certification or assist in meeting company objectives.

The position is recognized as a subject matter expert across the organization providing insight and supervision to cross-functional teams. This is a consulting position requiring rigorous Chemical Engineering (or equivalent) expertise across a range of oil, gas and chemical upstream and downstream facilities. This individual must be able to work with internal and/or external clients in understanding their needs. The ability to effectively initiate, develop, and oversee complex ideas, design concepts, proposals, procedures, project and design reviews is considered critical for success in this role. Under minimal supervision, this individual has expert knowledge and understanding of applicable science and technology in the oil and gas industry gained through formal education and work experience.
