  • Participated in the review, coordination and approval of wet infrastructure shop drawings and material submittals for the following projects:
  • Rehabilitation and Expansion of the Water Supply System in Ecunha, Angola. Design
  • Check and supervision of construction for a raw water intake, 4 km long/250 mm diameter
  • Raw water transmission pipeline, 5,000 m³/day water treatment plant, ground reservoir with a capacity of 1,000 m³, 15 m high elevated tank with a capacity of 100 m ³, and 37 km of distribution networks and 220 house connections.
  • Rehabilitation and Expansion of the Water Supply System in Huambo - Lot 2, Angola.
  • Design check and supervision of construction for 4 water Distribution Centres (DC’s) and house connections in Huambo, comprising DC3 with a capacity of 10,000 m³ serving a
  • 756 ha area with 113 km long/63-450 mm diameter distribution network and 8,200 house connections; DC4 with a capacity of 10,000 m ³ serving a 475 ha area with 55 km long/63-

The scope also covered Bairro Juventude 12 km long/63-200 mm diameter distribution network with 650 house connections, covering an area of 92 ha.
  • Rehabilitation and Expansion of the Water Supply System in M´Banza Congo, Angola.
  • Design check and supervision of construction for a new raw water intake, 24,000 m³/day
  • Raw water transmission pipeline and water treatment plant, 1.1 km long/600 mm diameter
  • Treated water transmission pipeline, 5 m high elevated reservoir with a capacity of 1,000 m³ and a 2,000 m³ ground reservoir for the treated water, and 80 km long distribution network and house connections.
  • As Project Engineer/Group Leader (2006 – 2015), I participated in the design of wet infrastructure utilities, including coordination with other engineering disciplines, and preparation of specifications, calculations, and other technical documents and was responsible for the following:
  • I. I travelled to Angola as much as needed to conduct site reconnaissance for 9 cities, (Cabinda, Malanje, Soyo, N’Zeto, Tomboco, M’Banza Congo, Noqui, Cuimba and Kuito) located North, South, West, and East to implement an Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan. I also followed up/worked on the detailed design of the above mentioned visited cities all the way through from the beginning to the end, since end of July 2010.
  • Ii. I also worked on several proposals for the cities of Ondjiva, Benguela in Angola and many other proposals for the country of Angola, Mozambique, Abu Dhabi, and Nigeria.

  • Basic design criteria.
  • General alignment of the proposed culverts.
  • Codes and Regulations.
  • Sizing of the culverts and details of the piping inside the utility culvert.

SIO Al Ghuwaiba Farms

  • The purpose of this Project is to provide services for the preparation of the Concept Design for the necessary infrastructure required to manage the TSE received at SIO pumping station complex from the STP to the Al Ghuwaiba Farms (around 3400ha). Also design both wet and dry utilities along the allocated land for the pump station site and the concept design for the irrigation network of the 3400ha farms. Added to this, the 9km transmission line to F1/P1 and the overflow drainage pipe to the D2.2 Canal. This is the concept scope. Whereas the Detailed Design covers the Pump station complex with all the associated buildings and the 9km transmission line to F1/P1 as well as the overflow pipe to the canal.
  • Moreover, worked on two additional Variation Orders – Irrigation System, Irrigation Drainage System and Polishing plant.
  • Responsibilities: Lead the team in both Middle East and GID Offices to submit both Concept and Detailed Design submissions on time.

She worked and is still working as Civil Lead with the NEOM Water Team mainly on the Oxagon Southern and Central Diversions, Tabuk to Trojena Water System Project and water transmission lines from High Point Reservoir to Mountain Service Reservoir and Coastal Desert Reservoir (East).
  • Added to this, Joelle worked and is still working as Design Manager on the Al Ghuwaiba Farms Project with the Saudi Irrigation Organization and managed to submit both Concept and Detailed Design submissions on time while leading and managing a team from both MENA and GID offices despite the tight deadline.
  • Joelle worked as Infra (Power and Wet Utilities) Design Manager on Sedra Competition with ROSHN in Riyadh between September 2023 and December 2023 and currently (January 2024) appointed as Infra Design Manager on Al Rub’ Al Khali Project with DRDC as well as Design Manager and Technical Lead on the Minor Works Project and still is. Moreover, started by end of August as Infrastructure Design Manager on the Emirates Palace Project in Abu Dhabi.
