Accomplishments

  • Provided basic English lessons and U.S. road safety sessions to over 10,000 Afghan refugees, while also building teacher capacity in KoBo data collection, classroom management, and attendance tracking.
  • Implemented vocational skills programs for 550 out-of-school children by collaborating with local master craftspeople as trainers, and delivered financial literacy sessions to beneficiaries receiving startup kits.
  • Formed peace clubs across six LGAs, equipped youth groups with recreational materials, and ensured weekly follow-ups with community-based workers to sustain peacebuilding activities.
  • Oversaw the rehabilitation of 16 classrooms, four head-teacher offices, and 12 latrines across five LGAs, and provided schools with teaching, learning, hygiene, and recreational materials along with desks, tables, and chairs.

  • Successfully implemented the 2019 ECHO project, benefiting over 3,000 children and improving teacher code of conduct, resulting in higher attendance and retention rates.
  • Expanded non-formal learning opportunities by establishing 175 centers in collaboration with community organizations, enrolling 8,750 out-of-school children and engaging 175 learning facilitators.
  • Collaborated with state education boards to enroll 27,960 low-performing learners in 699 tutoring centers, distributed scholastic materials, and installed recreational facilities to enhance pupil well-being.
