Ø Maintaining hygiene and safe working environment in compliance with the health care procedures.

Ø Providing pre and post-operative managements to the patients.

Ø Preparing patient for surgery and safe transfer to operation and post-operative management.

Ø Administration of medication.

Ø Prepare and manage the unit according to the census of patient

Ø Interacting with the healthcare team for maintaining team dynamics.

Ø Admitter pre and postoperative medication

Ø Initial and post-operative assessment of patients

Ø Educating patient for wounds and drain care.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES.

Ø Providing care to patients with ventilators and assisted in extubation.

Ø Post-operative care of cardiac surgeries.

Ø Providing care to critically ill patient.

Ø Assisted in chest tube removal and other drains.

Ø Providing counseling and ongoing education to a patient and family.

Ø Managing patient central venous line, arterial line and swan ganz catheter.
