Scope/Description: the road is in the emirates of Sharjah and Ras Al Khamah and its approximately 63.353 Km long and starts from the Emirates Road (E611) to Diftah towards the east coast and connects to Contract 405. The construction of this section of road started on 24th November16. On 14th April18 (Phase 1 completion), 35 km of mainline from E611 to E55, and temporary junctions at the existing road crossings were completed. On 13th April19, the remaining works including the design and construction of six proposed interchanges, underpasses, drainage works and mainline from E55 to Diftah interchange were completed and opened to traffic.
The road meanders through 33 Km of sand dunes, 8 Km of wadi/gravel plains and 22.353 Km of mountainous terrain.
