• Optimizing all aspects of school operations by working alongside the principal during the transition handover period to integrate more effective policies and procedures into a long established system as evidenced by an increase in teaching and learning hours positively impacting student progress and achievement.
• Implementing a teacher coaching and mentoring program by designing a learning walk framework coupled with an extensive professional development program including PLCs that provided actionable coaching plans coupled with growth and learning opportunities for teachers evidenced by consistency in quality teaching and learning, denoted in the most recent inspection report.
• Establishing and spearheading committees among all stakeholders to create a culture of inclusion between students, staff, parents, and the community yielding a 70% increase in parent participation in academic and non-academic school events.

• Enlisted the support of the school community to establish a strong working relationship and collaborative efforts between EMTS and AMTS resulting in increased levels of students' English proficiency.
• Guided AMTs and EMTS through the role as chair of the department to develop a strong assessment policy yielding better assessment that was more readily able to be used to improve teaching and learning.
• Facilitated the development of an ongoing bi-lingual professional development program to improve teacher knowledge and skills relevant to quality and differentiated instruction.
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills by serving as the first Western staff member on the Senior Leadership Team and became an integral contributor to the school's improvement plan coupled with the self evaluation process.

Ensured academic progress and achievement for at risk students in a Title 1 setting by establishing and overseeing a targeted intervention program:

• Designed and developed a highly effective intervention program with a strong progress monitoring system that resulted in 90% of students enrolled in the program meeting and exceeding their standardized test growth projections.
• Reviewed students' test scores, grades, and teacher input, enrolled 250 students, interviewed, hired, and supervised 30+ staff members, selected and implemented high interest skills' based language arts and math curriculum for the students, monitored student progress, monitored and attained an 85%+ student attendance rate, provided staff development for teachers, communicated with parents regarding student goals and progress, coordinated transportation, developed and oversaw overall budgetary aspects of the program, served as sole disciplinarian for the program.
• Coordinated and served as administrator for the school's Afterschool and Saturday school program with an enrollment of 250 students.

Established from conception an academic afterschool program for the federally funded communities in school 21st century grant program.

Responsibilities included complete grant implementation from point of inception. Served in capacity of principal/director of 5 after-school community-based sites serving Grades K-5, supervised 50+ employees including assistant project director, site coordinators, teachers, and paraprofessionals. Managed all aspects of a $750,000 annual budget.

• Planned and implemented integrated lessons to meet county and state standards. Held conferences with parents to address questions, discuss academic progress and encourage learning goals. Enhanced student knowledge of technology by integrating various web-based applications for research and assignments. Worked cooperatively with other teachers, administrators and parents to help students reach learning objectives. Developed and implemented lesson plans that addressed general students as well as those with individualized 504 plans as part of integrated classroom. Implemented creative ways to foster curiosity for complex principles through hands-on learning and planned activities.
