Assigned in rotations at the general ward which includes the following areas: medical/surgical ward, pediatric ward, and obstetric ward; emergency room; labor and delivery room; and out-patient department, with the following duties and responsibilities:
▪ performs direct nursing care procedures, which include bedside nursing, hygiene, pre- and post-operative nursing care, and admission and discharge duties;
▪ observes, records and reports patients’ symptoms, conditions, and progress of treatment and therapy;
▪ prepares patients for, and assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for both normal and specialized treatment cases;
▪ administers medications and note reaction;
▪ sets up treatment trays and prepares instruments and treatment;
▪ maintains records reflecting patient condition, medication and treatment;
▪ assist in the education and rehabilitation of patients and their families related to physical and mental health;
▪ coordinates with other sections in the hospital regarding patient care; and
▪ perform other related functions as maybe assigned.
Knowledgeable in use of EMR (Electronic Medical Record), program used in DHA – Salama (EPIC)
