Main Duties and Responsibilities

Ø Supervision: Directs, control and supervises the activities of assigned personnel involved in operating the gas injection facilities, including starting up / shutting down the gas and oil treatment units and gas production wells, first line maintenance, house keeping…etc.

Ø Operation activities: (i) Monitors and supervises through the UAP central Control Room facilities the operation of UAP and CP-1 plants to meet the Company’s oil/ gas production targets in terms of quality and quantity. (ii) Supervise the preparations of UAP and CP-1equipment for routine, break down and planned maintenance activities as per established procedures. (iii) Trouble-shoots minor operation problems and reports major problems and emergencies to USGIF Platform manager with proposed solutions. (v) Evaluate daily pertaining equipment performance, prepares production reports and recommends to Platform manager for improvement.

Ø Work Control; (i) Supervise and personally participate in preparing the plant/equipment for maintenance work. (ii) Issues hot, cold and entry work permits and isolation Confirmation certificates for all routine planned and break down maintenance work. (iii) Supervise and personally participate in re-commissioning of the plant to ensure safe and efficient.(iv) Monitor and evaluates the reliability of plant equipment and plant performance. (v)Ensure appropriate implementation of the developed OPERGUID procedures for all plant operation and maintenance activities and ensure regular evaluation and update of procedures for optimisation and safe operation. (vi) Ensure availability of spares and chemicals stocks including review of chemicals and material inventories, maintaining adequate stock and issuing material requisitions.

Ø SAFETY : (i) Ensures sub-ordinates and contractors are fully aware and adhere to The company’s HSE programme, procedures, standards and systems. (ii) Reports, investigate accidents/incidents and makes necessary recommendation for improvement.(iii) Carries out HSE tours, self inspection and auditing to ensure safe working conditions.(iv) Conducts risk assessments, toolbox meetings and prepare/ review special procedures for non-routine operations and maintenance activities. (v) Ensure strict compliance / adherence to Waste Management system and ISO 14001 requirements / recommendations related to own activities.

II. Subsidiary Activities

Other Related Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by Platform manager as: (I) Taking part in training / developing new recruits / UAE National Employees/ Developees, implementing orientation programes and preparing necessary reports.
