· Serve as a proactive member of the SMT to direct and guide professional discussion and dialogue.
· Meet regularly with teaching staff to support in areas such as educational theory, strategies for teaching diverse students, and special education, with keys to effective curriculum development and implementation.
· Support the Principal with coordinating the responsibilities and duties of teaching staff and encourage career and personal development.
· Assist with student protocols and academic expectations.
· Communicate effectively with staff and students.
· Monitor teacher/student relationships and provide advice support when required.
· Provide practical advice and guidance to other members of the staff.
· Liaison with SENCO Team to monitor vulnerable groups with support and initiate intervention where necessary.
· Foster positive relationships between the school and all sectors of the community.
· Liaising with parents on academic performance, student behavior, and attendance.
· Participate in contributing to the school’s performance management system.
