Projects

Designed a steam power cycle (09/2021 - 11/2021)
Successfully designed the cycle on EES and achieved a thermal efficiency of 45.07%.
Designed a load cell based on strain gauges (09/2021 - 11/2021)
An aluminum cantilever beam was used as the design and it successfully detected masses between 50g - 1kg.
Conducted research on current Additive Manufacturing processes (06/2021 - 07/2021)
Recommended the appropriate machines to produce a wide variety of products for different industries with a budget of 1.5 million USD.
Designed a shaft for a torque transmission system (01/2021 - 05/2021)
Hand calculations were used to find the moment and shear diagrams.

The steel shaft was designed on, and the calculations verified, using Autodesk Inventor.
Created a scissor lift table (01/2021 - 05/2021)
The lift was assembled on Autodesk Inventor using parts provided by the instructor.

Drive command was used to simulate mechanical motion of the lift.
Designed a MATLAB app to calculate and plot the trajectory of a box dropped from a certain height and velocity (01/2021 - 05/2021)
The user inputs the initial velocity and position of the box, from which the app calculates the horizontal distance it travels and the total flying time.
Built a dome-like structure using straws to carry paper packs (09/2019 - 11/2019)
The dome weighed 200 grams and successfully carried the weight of 5 paper packs weighing a toal of 13 kg
5 paper packs weighing a total of 13 kg.
