Prepare general ledger and ensure that financial accounting transactions are accurately and properly reflected in the accounting books in accordance with company accounting procedures, regulatory requirements, and any other relevant international accounting standards and practices
Perform periodical general ledger accounts reconciliations including reconciliations of subsidiary ledgers to GL control account on timely basis as defined in the procedures to ensure accurate monitoring
Installed internal controls and set up standard procedures for business accounting systems.
Draft schedule for periodic closing activities to inform all stakeholders, and follow-up accordingly to ensure meeting the set closing deadlines for timely execution of closing activities reconciliation of general ledger accounts
Provide internal and external auditors with all the necessary information, documentation and data needed for the completion of their audit assignments and resolve any outstanding audit queries to support external auditor’s assigned tasks as per the management guidance
Prepare the relevant accounting reports on a regular basis and submit to the management to inform effective decision making
Internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), Ensure compliance with ICFR applicable to monthly closing of generation holding companies
Assist in develop, implement, and maintain the company’s internal control framework for financial reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize internal control processes across financial operations to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall operational effectiveness.
Continuous Improvement by Monitoring the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend changes based on operational feedback, audit findings, and changes in regulations or business processes.
Carried out day-to-day duties accurately and efficiently.
Manage end-to-end accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment tracking, account reconciliation, and timely collections.
