- Manage equity method investment including impairment assessment and any applicable step-up acquisitions or impairment. This includes direct contact with JV's CFO's. Ensure equity net income pickups are calculated correctly and booked according to USGAAP accounting framework.
- Manage Intangibles related accounting treatments including impairment trigger assessment. Ensure Intangibles and capitalized software costs are recorded correctly in accordance with USGAAP and IFRS for statutory purposes.
- Manage impairment testing for long lived assets as per USGAAP and IFRS requirements. Lead the efforts in compiling evidence for all asset groups in Gas Power business, and lead the discussions with relevant owners to understand and document any impairment triggers.
- Manage the process of annual Goodwill impairment testing. Work with other parties as a key reference contact in determining the enterprise value using Market and Income approach with external valuator.
- Develop and write accounting memos for major and complex transactions such as impairment of specific asset group(s), step acquisitions, dispositions and annual Goodwill assessment.
- Provided guidance and support on separation related activities and transactions under common control, making sure that these transactions are also accounted for in accordance with US GAAP and if necessary, provide IFRS guidance for statutory purposes.
- Mange the quarterly and annual reporting requirements for different areas in Balance sheet as per USGAAP requirements.
- Mange the SOX compliance requirements for areas in scope.
- Manage accounting operations and statutory audit for fully consolidated VIEs.
- Review journal entries documentation in SAP/Unify /Uniform to ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting entries being recorded with the support of Shared Service Center (Accenture).
- Supervise any corrections that need to be made to Power ledgers based on findings of reconciliations.
- Perform variance analysis (ad-hoc inquiries) on requested specific areas impacting the Power technical Controllership group.
- Build up and maintain strong working relationships with relevant functional areas within Gas Power and Corporate.
