Job Description
Responsible for assuring the safety and health of all workers. Assist the HSE Manager in carrying out activities on incident prevention programs that include Safety Policy, organization and responsibilities, development of checklist for various activities, site inspection, and implementation. Ensure that First Aid Kit and Fire Extinguishers are available at the required locations, arrange appropriate Tools and PPE, implement safety operating practices, and to know Emergency call procedures / emergency drills. Immediately report to authorities any injury, death, fire, explosion collapse of structure, and equipment failure. Arrange/Inspect for adequate training, and train employees regarding the safe handling of toxic materials, flammable liquids and other harmful substances to be aware of the potential hazards, personal hygiene, and personal protective measures. Directly reporting to the HSE Manager of the company. Responsible for establishing, maintaining, monitoring and developing the HSE System according to ISO (International Organization for Standardization) ISO 14001:2004, & OHSAS 18001:2007 requirements. Conduct Health & Safety Hazards & Risks Assessment and Environmental Aspects & Impacts Analysis for all the processes involved in the company to determine control measures for the elimination or reduction of risks and adverse effects respectively. Identify HSE legal & statutory requirements (e.g. Dubai Municipality, Roads & Transport Authority, and Civil Defense) applicable to the company's business processes and take action to ensure compliance. Establish management HSE objectives and coordinate with department heads for its achievement. Prepare and submit customer documentation requirements related to health, safety and environment. Plan and prepare auditing schedule to supervise the internal HSE audits to ensure that the auditing system operates effectively and to minimize/eliminate non-conformities. Organize in-house and outside trainings on HSE management system for existing and new employees in different departments to continually improve system awareness.
