In my role as an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) mentor, I assume the responsibility of guiding and supporting educators in their professional development journey. As a mentor, I exemplify best practices by demonstrating effective teaching strategies, proficient classroom management, and positive interactions with children. By serving as a role model, I aim to instill a deep understanding of high-quality early childhood education in my mentees. Regular observation and constructive feedback sessions are integral to my mentorship, allowing mentees to identify strengths, areas for improvement, and fostering reflective practices that contribute to their continuous professional growth. Moreover, I actively assist mentees in navigating challenges related to classroom dynamics, curriculum implementation, and interactions with families, providing guidance on effective problem-solving strategies to instill confidence in their teaching roles.

As the year leader in primary, I assume a crucial role in shaping the academic journey of students within year 5. In addition to overseeing curriculum implementation, I actively engage in various leadership responsibilities. I take pride in crafting the Medium-Term Plans (MTP), ensuring that lessons not only adhere to educational standards but also cater to the diverse needs of our students. Conducting learning walks and lesson observations allows me to provide valuable feedback and support to fellow educators, fostering a collaborative teaching environment. I am deeply involved in crafting the year group development plan, strategically mapping out the goals and milestones for our students' progress. Performance management is another key aspect of my role, where I guide and assess the professional growth of teachers through constructive feedback and targeted support. My involvement in planning meetings and facilitating communication channels underscores my commitment to creating a positive and effective learning community within the primary school.

I strategically crafted and implemented challenging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with English as an Additional Language (EAL), Special Educational Needs (SEN), and those identified as Gifted and Talented. In addition to focusing on academic excellence, I embraced the role of coordinating school trips, ensuring they were both educational and enjoyable for the students. Moreover, I took the initiative to plan and execute enrichment classes, providing additional opportunities for students to delve deeper into their interests and talents

As an NQT, my roles and responsibility was to ensure creative lessons were created, opportunities for growth mindset was developed and students were taught how to self, and peer-assess.
